Citizens for Sustainable Lakes and Waters
The Coalition to Save Lake Winnipeg began in 2018 as a collaboration of communities in the South Basin of Lake Winnipeg. The CSLW included individual citizens, Cottage Associations from the east and west sides of Lake Winnipeg, Rural Municipality representatives and the Manitoba Cottagers Association.
In March of 2026 the CSLW merged with MACO to become a subcommittee of the organization. In order to represent Cottagers across the province, the CSLW has changed its name to Citizens for Sustainable Lakes and Waters.
Many of the issues facing Lake Winnipeg are faced by waterways throughout the province. Should individuals or cottage associations beyond Lake Winnipeg wish to sit on the CSLW committee and raise areas of concern to your region, please contact MACO.
